- The legendary Tapagachchadhi Pati Parampujya Acharyaji Sri Somsundarsuriswarji Maharaja (Ranakpur Tirtha Pratisthacharya) and Akbar Pratibodhak Parampujya Acharyaji Sri Vijayahirsurishwarji Maharaja were born in Palanpur.
- Sripallaviya Parshvanatha Prabhu is one of the 108 Parshwanath. The pages of the scriptures are filled with descriptions of the generous devotion of the Jain devotees here.
